McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release®
The McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release® (MSTR®) is a technique of reducing tissue adhesion in scars through a sequence of gentle finger pressure. It aims to improve the function of tissues of the scar area, potentially relieve pain, and restore nerve signal and blood flow, treating various scars from surgery, injury, or other trauma.
Visible Scars
Visible scars are obvious to the naked eye. They include cuts, burns and stretch marks.

Non-visible Scars
Scar tissue can often exist below "undisturbed" skin. They can be a result of traumatic joint injuries, such as a sprained ankle. Scars that are visible can also extend beyond the skin surface that is observable by the naked eye.
The Treatment
Gentle finger pressure is applied on the scar. It is vital for your wound to have healed completely before seeking MSTR® treatment. Lengths of treatment vary according to the size of each scar and the response to treatment. MSTR® is only effective as long as the scar tissue is responsive to treatment. The treatment is effective when touch time does not exceed certain limits. Therefore, it may take a few sessions to complete one round of treatment on larger scars . Check here for availability.
