What is Pilates

Pilates is a full-body workout but a low-impact exercise boosting core strength, mobility, and flexibility. It lengthens and tones your body, while focusing on breathwork, concentration, precision, flow, centering, and control, so you feel strong, conditioned, and flexible in both mind and body.

What is Classical Pilates

Classical Pilates is the original method of Pilates exercises, using a specific sequence of integrated, full-body movements developed by Joseph Pilates. It emphasizes control, precision, and body awareness, and i nvolves using the original apparatus, including the Cadillac, Reformer, Chair, Mat, and accessories like the Ped-o-pul, High Barrel, foot Corrector and more. The exercises are performed in a set order, often with low repetitions and a focus on rhythm and flow.

Who is it for

Pilates is suited for everyone, young and old, athletic and sedentary. Private sessions can be customized to individual needs, including recovery from injury to strengthening for specific athletic pursuits.

What is the recommended frequency

For best results, a combination of private tailored sessions in combination with group classes and self-practice is the optimal. A minimum of 2-3 sessions of the above will yield noticeable benefits.
